Position Summary
This is an elite scheduling position responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules while maintaining continuity of care, maximizing consistency, and ensuring every client receives the highest level of service.
The ideal candidate understands the urgency that comes with home care and can confidently manage changing priorities while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Rotating after-hours on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily caregiver schedules for clients throughout the Columbus area.
- Match caregiver skills, personality, availability, and experience with client needs.
- Respond quickly and professionally to call-offs, schedule changes, and urgent staffing situations.
- Coordinate staffing for new client admissions while maintaining continuity of care.
- Communicate schedule updates promptly with caregivers, clients, and office staff.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the nursing and care management teams to ensure exceptional continuity of care.
- Coach caregivers professionally regarding attendance, scheduling expectations, and company policies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and families.
- Exercise sound judgment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with field coverage when necessary to ensure clients never go without care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of scheduling experience in a physician's office, surgery center, home care agency, or similar healthcare environment
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable professional caregiver experience
- Ability and willingness to provide direct client care if emergency coverage is needed
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and organized during urgent situations
- Junior-level management or supervisory experience preferred but not required
- Commitment to teamwork, accountability, and professional ethics
