LOOKING FOR FULL-TIIME, PART-TIME OR PRN PHARMACIST

CLOSED ALL MAJOR HOLIDAYS, CLOSE 7PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY, SATURDAY 9-4PM AND CLOSED SUNDAY. FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, clinical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations within diverse healthcare settings. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe medication dispensing, providing clinical consultations, and supporting overall patient health outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise directly impacts patient well-being and safety.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
Provide expert medication counseling and patient education on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate pharmacological therapies, including evaluating medical histories and current medications.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and modify individualized treatment plans, especially in critical care, pediatrics, and acute care settings.
Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including stock control, medication compounding, and ensuring the availability of essential drugs.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Utilize pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR) for accurate documentation, medication administration records, and medication reconciliation processes.
Apply aseptic techniques for sterile compounding medications such as IV infusions and infusion therapy.
Support medical management initiatives by participating in multidisciplinary team discussions on pain management, immunizations, and other clinical interventions.
Assist in training pharmacy technicians and supporting staff to uphold high standards of patient service and pharmacy operations.

Requirements

Valid licensure as a Pharmacist with current certification in good standing.
Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital/acute care environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with proficiency in patient service delivery and patient assessment skills.
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR), inventory management tools, and compounding medications using aseptic techniques.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology principles relevant to medication administration.
Experience with immunizations administration and IV insertion techniques is preferred.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with patient privacy standards.
Additional experience in critical care or pain management settings will be considered an asset.
Pharmacy residency or specialized training in medical management or acute care is advantageous.
Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
