Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in machining and fabrication processes, and a dedication to precision and safety. As a CNC Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating advanced cutting machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring the highest quality standards in material processing. This role offers an engaging environment where craftsmanship and technical expertise are valued and nurtured.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC saws and related machinery such as CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to accurately cut sheet metal, tubing, and other materials according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to determine cutting requirements.
Program CNC machines using appropriate software to ensure precise cuts and optimal machine performance.
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting of CNC milling machines, lathes, and other machining tools.
Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts.
Perform quality inspections throughout the process to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols related to forklift operation, crane handling, electrical discharge machining, welding, and fabrication processes.

Skills

Proficiency in operating CNC machinery such as laser cutting systems, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation for manufacturing applications.
Experience with CNC programming software and understanding of G-code or similar languages.
Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication techniques, welding procedures, and sheet metal processing.
Familiarity with quality inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Ability to work with hand tools effectively for assembly or minor adjustments during machining processes.
Knowledge of safety procedures involving forklifts, cranes, electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding equipment, and general manufacturing safety standards.
