Full Job Description

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking candidates with a passion for public service to fill an Assistant Deputy Director position in our Collections Enforcement Section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E Broad St. Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will perform the following supervisory duties while fostering a team environment, which include, but are not limited to:

Assists the Deputy Direct in defining goals and objectives for State Client portfolios and staff.

Develops policies and procedures.

Manages Debt Management (DM) and Columbia Ultimate Business Systems (CUBS) operations and problem resolution for State Client portfolio and staff.

Supervises and trains assigned staff.

Manages and provides guidance to lower-level supervisors and staff.

Assists Deputy Director in preparing financial and other requested reports.

Prepares information for Public Information Request and On Demand reports.

Recommends new procedures to enhance collections processing.

Handles sensitive contact with the general public, clients, and legal personnel.

Handles varied public relations duties.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Completion of Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related area or equivalent work experience;

Previous supervisory or Team Lead experience;

Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a call center environment;

Previous experience with reporting;

Previous experience in a collections or legal environment.

Job skills: professional, attention to detail, leading others, teamwork, verbal communication, and written communication
