TERMINAL MANAGER
AUTOMOTIVE PARTS TRANSPORTATION & DELIVERY

POSITION OVERVIEW
Aero Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a strong, experienced, hands-on Terminal Manager to oversee all operational, safety, personnel, customer service, and financial functions at our Winchester, Virginia facility.
AGL supports dedicated fleet operations, final-mile distribution, cross-dock management, scheduled route delivery, and regional freight services. We leverage technology and data visibility to deliver reliable, time-sensitive logistics solutions across diverse industries.
The Terminal Manager leads daily operational execution, driver performance, route planning, compliance, customer support, and financial oversight in a high-velocity, time-critical transportation environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Oversee daily terminal operations, dispatching, route execution, and service performance.
Manage multi-route, time-sensitive distribution with strict cut-off and delivery windows.
Ensure scanning, chain-of-custody, documentation, load quality, staging, and outbound readiness.
Monitor real-time route activity and resolve exceptions, delays, and service failures.
Conduct daily operational huddles, including pre-trip and post-trip reviews.
Oversee cross-dock workflow, inbound receiving, outbound sortation, and dock labor efficiency.
Ensure automotive parts and time-sensitive freight are processed and delivered accurately and on schedule.
DRIVER & PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop drivers and dispatch personnel.
Manage driver qualification files and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance.
Enforce safety policies and lead accident/incident investigations and corrective actions.
Coach drivers on performance, productivity, scanning compliance, safety, and service standards.
Manage scheduling, coverage needs, call-outs, and capacity adjustments.
CUSTOMER & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Serve as primary operational contact for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Provide timely updates, service recovery, and communication regarding operational issues.
Maintain strong customer relationships and high service standards.
FINANCIAL & KPI MANAGEMENT
Maintain terminal P&L performance, budgets, payroll, cost controls, and utilization.
Track on-time performance, route efficiency, productivity, scan compliance, claims, labor, and equipment utilization.
Implement process improvements that reduce cost, improve productivity, and enhance service quality.
COMPLIANCE & SAFETY
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and AGL safety policies.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, equipment inspections, driver records, and regulatory documentation.
Lead safety meetings, driver audits, and terminal-level compliance initiatives.
Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure corrective actions are completed.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of transportation or logistics management experience.
Experience overseeing multi-route, time-sensitive distribution preferred.
Automotive parts delivery, dedicated transportation, final-mile, or cross-dock experience highly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA and OSHA compliance.
Proven ability to lead drivers and operational teams.
Strong analytical skills for reviewing KPIs, financials, and operational trends.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
Highly organized, accountable, self-directed, and able to manage shifting priorities.
Must be willing and able to relocate to Winchester, VA prior to the start date.
