DESCRIPTION

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction and network installation business, is looking to hire an entry-level Accounts Payable Teammate located in our Columbus, Ohio Corporate Office.

Team Fishel is an 90-year-old privately held company with one of the best reputations in the industry. This entry-level Accounts Payable position is a key position, working closely with a number of departments within the organization. This position provides critical support for our field operations of nearly 40 offices in 15 states. The pay range for entry level candidates is $18-21.00/hour, dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

Extremely Reliable.
Entry-level opportunity in an accounts payable role.
Desire to learn and ability to learn quickly.
Multitasking is a must.
Ability to prioritize and adjust in an often times fast-paced environment with sudden changes.
Great computer and typing skills, including the Microsoft Office suite, with an exceptional knowledge of Excel.
Great Internet skills. At least an advanced, highly comfortable knowledge of internet search and research engines. Google Worksheets is a plus.
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal / written) and feel comfortable communicating with many customers, vendors, and Teammates, from both a field and corporate environment.
A passion for being organized with attention to detail and follow-up.
A pleasant, people-oriented individual with energy and an enthusiasm for being a Teammate that can be counted on to provide great support and service to our Teammates, vendors & suppliers.
Available to work overtime if needed (infrequent and usually planned).

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

Primary support to the Accounts Payable Manager and Accounts Payable department including: vendor support (maintenance & setup, verification of paperwork, monitor vendor holds, annual maintenance, including address changes and DD updates), running monthly clean-up of old aged items, special vendor handling, VISTA management, check runs, statements, customer service calls, and centralized AP review
Secondary support but important assistance to multiple administrative departments, including HR, Business Development, Legal, and Finance.
Maintain clear and effective communication with vendors and Teammates, as well as bringing issues to the Accounts Payables Manager. Assist management in identifying opportunities for improvement, providing solutions, and resolution of problems when applicable.

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training.
