This opening is for our Waste Handler position. Employees could perform their work at any or all of our locations below depending on their manager's direction.

1st shift (7a–3:30p), Mon–Fri; rotating weekends/holidays. Mechanical experience preferred.

Job Description Summary:

Provides high levels of cleanliness, quality, and service to patients, families and customers.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Demonstrates knowledge of 10 Step Cleaning Process and appropriate chemical use to meet department standards.
Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures. Proper use and knowledge of PPE and door precautions.
Maintains department’s standards of practice as evidenced by quality control inspections and customer feedback.
Maintains closet, housekeeping cart and cleaning equipment in clean, orderly and good working condition.
Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with management to address and resolve facility maintenance, service issues and other concerns.

Education Requirement:

High School graduate or equivalent, required.

Skills:

Ability to speak and understand English.
Demonstrate high degree of proficiency in the 10 Step Cleaning Process.
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Displays positive customer service skills and promotes a team atmosphere.

Experience:

Previous housekeeping experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

OCCASIONALLY: Climb stairs/ladder, Cold Temperatures, Hot Temperatures, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 41-60 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 100 lbs or greater with assistance, Pushing / Pulling: 41-60 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 61-100 lbs, Sitting, Squat/kneel, Working Outdoors

FREQUENTLY: Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Loud Noises, Patient Equipment
