Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef/ Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a commitment to excellence in food service.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Manage inventory control, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling techniques.
Utilize POS systems for ordering management.
Train new kitchen staff on procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, addressing any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager.
Strong background in restaurant management with an understanding of quick service operations preferred.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Knowledge of inventory control practices and food handling regulations.
Familiarity with regional purveyors & their ordering guides/systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not mandatory.
