Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join a respected litigation team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience who is looking to manage a diverse caseload while working alongside accomplished trial attorneys in a collaborative environment. The position offers the opportunity to handle cases from inception through trial and appeal while providing exceptional client representation.

Responsibilities

Manage civil litigation matters from initial investigation through trial and appeal.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
Take and defend depositions.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Develop litigation strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers.
Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and exhibit coordination.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Ohio law license.
3–5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense litigation.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
Experience handling depositions and trial preparation.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding client service.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary from $110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
