Corporate Dealership Controller

Columbus, OH

Full-time

Pay based on experience

As the Dealership Controller, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing strategic financial guidance to support dealership growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
Develop financial reports and budgets to inform business decisions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Support leadership with financial forecasting and strategic planning.
Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
Manage budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Collaborate with department heads to support financial planning and cost control initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within automotive dealership or related industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including GAAP.
Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Must be willing to travel.
