ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ASSISTANT MANAGER
- Lead daily front of house operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Remain highly visible on the floor to support teammates, monitor service flow, and ensure operational standards are met
- Coach and develop front of house teammates through real-time feedback focused on hospitality standards, urgency, menu knowledge, and guest experience
- Lead daily shift meetings focused on service standards, menu features, hospitality expectations, and sales goals
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are fully addressed
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for front of house and back of house teammates
- Support teammate accountability through coaching conversations, performance feedback, and corrective action processes
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed consistently and accurately
- Monitor labor, service execution, cleanliness, and overall shift performance
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, food safety standards, and company policies
- Create, update, and execute food, beer, cocktail, and event menus while ensuring offerings align with company standards, operational goals, and brand expectations
- Support inventory oversight and communicate operational needs to leadership
- Assist with facility upkeep and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Step into front of house or back of house positions as needed to support operations
- Support accurate cash handling, transaction reconciliation, and operational closing procedures
- Help reinforce company culture, accountability, and hospitality standards across the team
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS
- Previous hospitality or restaurant leadership experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching abilities
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
- ServSafe certification
- Alcohol service certification
- Level 1 Health Management certification
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as business needs require
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding restaurant environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
We believe in rewarding hard work and dedication. The typical annual base salary range for this role is $50-60k. The base salary offer will depend on experience and other relevant factors.
In addition to the above compensation, as a member of the CBC team, you are eligible for the following benefits:
