Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist / OR Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This is a high-acuity surgical oncology opportunity requiring strong scrub and circulating experience across multiple specialty service lines.
The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in robotic surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and ENT procedures.
First-time travelers are welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields
- Assist surgical teams during complex procedures
- Set up surgical instruments and equipment
- Support robotic surgical procedures
- Assist with neuro, thoracic, ENT, vascular, plastics, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, and general surgery cases
- Follow aseptic technique and infection-control standards
- Accurately document patient and procedural information using EPIC
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other members of the surgical team
- Maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative process
Schedule
This is not a guaranteed 4x10 schedule.
The assignment uses a rotating combination of:
- 8-hour shifts
- 10-hour shifts
- 12-hour shifts
Call and weekends may be required based on departmental needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of OR/Surgical Tech experience – HARD STOP
- BLS/BCLS certification
- Strong scrub experience
- Strong circulating experience
- EPIC experience
- Robotic surgery experience
- Neurosurgery experience
- Thoracic surgery experience
- ENT experience
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties
- Ability to work rotating day/evening schedules
- Ability to participate in call and weekend coverage as needed
Compliance Requirements
- Valid Ohio or Compact license/credential as applicable
- Two professional references required
- At least one must be a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader
- Charge RN acceptable as second reference
- Coworker references are not accepted
- RTO must be provided at submission
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately after signing
- Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start
- Former employees may return after being away for at least 6 months
- Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments within the health system
- Travelers must be responsive and cooperative throughout credentialing
- No scheduling/RTO changes should be assumed after submission
CompensationTravel Pay
$56/hour
The schedule is a rotating combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, so weekly earnings will depend on the assigned schedule and hours worked.
