RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MAC ASSISTANT COMMERCIAL CARPENTER
- Assist with safely handling and transporting materials to and from the job site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Support the superintendents in inspecting incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards and match project specifications.
- Aid in installing Division 6, 8, and 10 materials under the guidance of the foreman, including but not limited to doors, frames, hardware, windows, and specialty items.
- Assist with taking measurements and cutting materials to required specifications, as the foreman directs.
- Assist the teams with general labor needs consisting of site clean up, delivering materials, etc.
- Help coordinate material deliveries and maintain inventory records for efficient project planning and scheduling.
- Collaborate closely with the foreman, project managers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
- Support in identifying and addressing installation challenges or issues that may arise during construction.
- Maintain awareness of safety procedures and promote a safe working environment on the job site.
- Maintain availability and accessibility to address emergencies or critical issues as needed, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS OF A MAC
- A strong interest in carpentry and a willingness to learn and develop skills in Division 6, 8, and 10 installations.
- Two years of carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate professionally with team members, project managers, and clients when needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working on active construction sites. Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work safely and follow company safety standards and procedures.
- Travel to job sites as needed; must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Adhere strictly to the MAC Drug-Free Workplace Policy and pass drug screens as requested.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The typical annual base salary range for this role is $55,000- $65,000. The base salary offer will depend on experience and other relevant factors. This role is eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive program (if hired by July 1st, for 2026).
In addition to the above compensation, as a member of the MAC team, you are eligible for the following benefits:
