Full Job Description

614 Pools is hiring a Seasonal Junior Swimming Pool Technician to join our team from spring through fall. This is a hands-on, outdoor position with a consistent 4-day workweek, giving you three days off while still getting full-time hours. No pool experience required — we provide paid training.

What You’ll Do

Assist with routine pool maintenance and cleanings
Test and balance swimming pool water chemistry
Help with pool openings, closings, and seasonal services
Assist with basic equipment inspections and repairs
Load, unload, and organize tools and supplies
Provide friendly, professional service to customers

What We’re Looking For

Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Able to handle physical work (lifting, bending, standing)
Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required
Valid driver’s license preferred

Duties

Assist with daily pool maintenance tasks including water testing, chemical balancing, and cleaning to ensure optimal water quality and safety.
Support the inspection and upkeep of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, and circulation systems, identifying issues early.
Use hand tools and power tools to perform minor repairs or adjustments on pool machinery and related equipment.
Help with routine pool cleaning activities like skimming debris, vacuuming floors, and scrubbing surfaces to maintain a pristine environment.
Conduct visual inspections of pool areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs; report findings promptly.
Support the maintenance team in setting up or dismantling equipment for seasonal opening or closing procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and safety checks completed.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of basic pool equipment components and operation.
Experience with equipment repair using hand tools and power tools; ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing, water chemistry balancing, and cleaning techniques.
Familiarity with using various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Service technician experience or background in maintenance roles is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail to ensure safety standards are met consistently.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. This role is paid and designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their technical skills in a vibrant aquatic environment!
