Summary:
The Weekend Shift Quality Specialist is a hands-on, floor-focused role responsible for ensuring product quality standards are consistently met during weekend production operations. This position serves as the on-site quality resource, working closely with production teams to perform inspections, identify issues in real time, and support corrective actions.
This role is a key extension of the Quality team, helping maintain continuity between weekday quality leadership and weekend production while reinforcing a culture of accountability and craftsmanship on the floor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections on modular units to ensure adherence to company quality standards
- Identify defects, deviations, or non-conforming work and communicate issues to production leadership in real time
- Document quality findings and maintain accurate inspection records
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality issues
- Partner with Production Leads and Supervisors to ensure quality expectations are understood and executed
- Verify that materials, components, and workmanship meet required specifications
- Assist in enforcing standard work procedures and quality checkpoints throughout the build process
- Escalate significant quality concerns to Quality Management as needed
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and accountability on the production floor
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a quality, inspection, or production role within manufacturing or construction
- Experience working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment preferred
- Basic understanding of quality control processes and inspection methods
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, specifications, or work instructions is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
