Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and daily execution of all warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, dock scheduling, warehouse organization, team leadership, and compliance with food safety and quality standards. This position ensures the accurate and timely movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support production and customer fulfillment while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This is a leadership position with both hands-on involvement and strategic responsibilities, managing a diverse team and supporting cross-functional initiatives across the organization. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehouse team, including supervisors, leads, and associates.
- Oversee and maintain inventory accuracy for all inbound and outbound materials, finished goods, ingredients, and packaging using ERP and WMS systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, product legality, and quality protocols in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping of materials and products.
- Monitor, prioritize, and organize orders and shipments to meet customer and production demands.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, quality, and customer service to resolve inventory or supply chain issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and dock environment.
- Oversee monthly cycle counts and lead full physical inventories with detailed variance reporting.
- Utilize dock scheduling software to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics efficiently.
- Drive warehouse KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, space utilization, and inventory turns.
- Manage team schedules, vacation planning, timecard approvals, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure proper training and compliance with safety protocols, PPE use, and FSQA requirements.
- Maintain operational documentation and records for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal reporting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics management experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams across diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite).
- Experience with food safety programs, GFSI compliance, and audit preparation is highly preferred.
- Bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish, Swahili, or Kinyarwanda) are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification and hands-on experience with powered industrial trucks.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume, and fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- This role requires physical activity including walking, standing, and lifting in a production and warehouse setting.
- Must be able to perform tasks in cold/hot environments, depending on product and area.
- This is a single-shift facility with a warehouse staff of fewer than 10 team members, offering a close-knit, collaborative work environment.
