Full Job Description

Yazdani Law, an immigration law firm located in downtown Columbus is looking for an administrative assistant / office coordinator to perform administrative and clerical duties on site, with the future potential to transition to an office manager or a paralegal position.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, personable, great on the phone, exhibiting high standards, excellent communication skills, ability to take initiative, and ability to prioritize daily tasks. The candidate must have an interest in a carrier as an administrative assistant, office manager, or in a similar capacity in the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

Handle and coordinate active calendars;
Schedule, coordinate, and confirm meetings;
Answer calls;
Greet clients and conduct intake;
Copy and scan documents and perform data entry tasks;
Draft documents and prepare correspondences;
Open and close files;
Ensure file organization based on office protocol;
Handle incoming and outgoing mail;
Issue invoices, record payments, and issue receipts;
Provide ad hoc support around office as needed;

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience in a support role at an office setting is required. Law firm experience and immigration law firm experience is highly desired;
College degree or special training strongly preferred;
Strong computer skills and experience with MS Word, Outlook, and basic Excel;
Ability to learn client management platform and other software services used;
Strong organizational skills;
Ability to prioritize and multi-task;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
Good knowledge of general office practices;
Ability to work collaboratively with a small team;
Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
Friendly personality is highly desired;
Fluency in a second language, especially Spanish is highly desired.
