Full Job Description

Rinker Materials®, a QUIKRETE® Company, is one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications. All of Rinker's products provide long-term solutions through their built-in strength and durability and meet or contribute to specifications defined by the American Society of Testing Materials, American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Testing Materials and/or United States Bureau of Reclamation.

Rinker was founded in 1964, headquartered in Houston, Texas, and has over 70 facilities across the United States and Eastern Canada.

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our COLUMBUS, OHIO plant. As a Maintenance Technician with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

The position will be for night shift, but will be required to spend 6 months or more on day shift prior to changing to this shift. During this time, they will learn about all machinery and their functions in the building, and how to address various issues with assistance/guidance from other maintenance or management.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problem.
Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves.
Fabricate parts or components as needed.
Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations
Position does require working on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and the use of safety harnesses

About You

We Require:

Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience. One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.
Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem-solving techniques. Detail orientation.
Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
Must have a valid drivers’ license.
