Full Job Description

Position Summary
The Small Parcel Lead is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily small parcel shipping operations to ensure all customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position serves as a working lead within the department, providing direction, guidance, and support to team members while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, shipment accuracy, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping Operations

Coordinate daily small parcel shipping activities to ensure all customer orders are processed and shipped according to schedule.
Monitor shipping queues and prioritize hot orders, rush orders, and customer-critical shipments.
Ensure all priority orders are shipped on the same day whenever possible.
Verify shipment accuracy, including item numbers, quantities, customer addresses, carrier selections, and service levels.
Ensure all shipments comply with UPS, FedEx, and other carrier requirements.
Assist with packing, auditing, labeling, and shipping activities as required to support department goals.
Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, shortages, and shipment exceptions.

Export & International Shipping

Prepare and review export documentation for international shipments.
Complete commercial invoices, customs declarations, and all required export paperwork.
Ensure export shipments comply with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to international shipments.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, shipping, or distribution experience preferred.
Previous experience with small parcel shipping systems such as UPS and FedEx preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) or similar ERP systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems independently.
Proficient computer and email skills.
Working knowledge of export shipping processes and documentation preferred.
Ability to motivate and coordinate team members to achieve departmental objectives.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and activity levels.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment if trained and authorized.
