Staff Pharmacist | Travel Contract | Lancaster, OH

Job Details

Position: Staff Pharmacist (Inpatient – Nights)
Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Shift: Night Shift – 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Thursday Night – Thursday Morning Rotation)
Guaranteed Hours: Full-Time Schedule
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Position Urgency: Rapid Response Crisis

Responsibilities

Review, verify, interpret, and accurately dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
Monitor patient medication therapy to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate drug treatment.
Identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related problems.
Provide clinical drug information and pharmaceutical consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, and caregivers.
Coordinate and supervise Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) workflow during overnight operations.
Serve as the sole overnight Pharmacist from 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM with Pharmacy Technician support.
Respond to medical emergencies by preparing medications and providing clinical pharmaceutical support.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and quality assurance standards.
Ensure accurate medication documentation, inventory management, and controlled substance accountability.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Active Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing (Required).
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited college.
Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience.
Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.
Strong clinical judgment and medication therapy management skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,100.00 per week
