Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Donnell Law Group is seeking a Legal Coordinator in its Columbus, Ohio office. This position involves working with attorneys primarily on civil litigation and probate matters in Ohio and Michigan. The right candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional organizational skills who prefers an autonomous work environment and can handle a large volume of files in a fast paced environment.

Essential Duties:

Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and court required forms; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures and jurisdiction.
Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files; including maintaining document databases and electronic records.
Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
Assist attorneys with routine communications with clients and third parties.
Office management including mail tracking, calendaring deadlines, answering phones, ordering supplies, data entry and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating logistics for court appearances with occasional travel to court hearings.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

Associate degree preferred.
Paralegal Certificate preferred.
One or more years experience as a paralegal preferred.
One or more years office experience required.
Experience with Clio case management, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Lexis Nexis, preferred
Experience in a healthcare field or with healthcare insurance a plus.
Project and case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Tenacious curiosity for learning, can-do attitude and forward thinking to stay one step ahead at all times.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, flex opportunities.
