Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job Summary
Ray of Hope Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our growing outpatient addiction and mental health center. As part of our dedicated team, the APRN will play a crucial role in providing medication management, prescribing, and monitoring Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients with substance use disorders. The APRN will also manage a range of mental health conditions, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients with behavioral health and substance use disorders.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, including medication management for mental health conditions.
Prescribe and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder, including buprenorphine, in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and families on medication use, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to behavioral health and MAT.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted APRN license in Ohio.
DEA registration, including waiver for prescribing MAT.
Certificate to Prescribe (CTP) in Ohio.
National certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
Experience in behavioral health, addiction medicine.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
Standard of Care Agreement (SCA) with a collaborating psychiatrist preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
