Clinical Pilates Instructor
Core Moves Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy & PilatesColumbus, Ohio | Part-Time with Opportunity for Growth
Overview
Core Moves Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy & Pilates is seeking a compassionate, movement-focused Clinical Pilates Instructor to join our growing team.
At Core Moves, we believe Better Begins Today. We blend rehabilitation, Pilates, strength training, and nervous system-informed care to help people move with less pain and greater confidence. Our clients are often navigating pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic pain, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, hypermobility, dysautonomia, menopause, and other complex movement challenges. We believe exercise should be individualized, empowering, and grounded in evidence—not one-size-fits-all.
We’re looking for an instructor who enjoys working collaboratively with physical therapists, values lifelong learning, and is passionate about helping clients reconnect with movement in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Ideal candidates are comfortable working with clients who have injuries, chronic pain, or complex medical conditions and are excited to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
This position may include teaching private Pilates sessions, small group classes, assisting with studio programming and marketing initiatives, and providing occasional administrative support as our practice continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging private Pilates sessions and small-group classes that emphasize quality movement, body awareness, strength, and individualized progression.
- Utilize the full Pilates studio, including the Reformer, Tower, Combo Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Mat, to create thoughtful, client-centered programming.
- Modify exercises to safely accommodate clients with pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic pain, hypermobility, pregnancy and postpartum needs, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, and other medical considerations.
- Collaborate with Core Moves physical therapists to transition clients from rehabilitation into independent movement and long-term wellness.
- Foster an encouraging, welcoming environment where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their care.
- Monitor client progress and communicate observations with the clinical team when appropriate.
- Assist with developing specialty classes, workshops, wellness programming, and community education events.
- Support studio marketing efforts through social media content, community outreach, and promotion of educational programming.
- Provide light administrative support, including scheduling assistance, client communication, and front desk coverage as needed.
- Prepare and maintain studio equipment and treatment spaces to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environment.
- Participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities to support professional growth and exceptional client care.
Qualifications
Required
- Comprehensive Pilates certification (Balanced Body, Polestar, BASI, STOTT, Peak Pilates, or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and collaborative attitude
- Passion for helping people improve their health through movement
Preferred
- Experience teaching both private Pilates sessions and small group classes.
- Comfort teaching and programming across the full Pilates studio, including the Reformer, Tower, Combo Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Mat.
- Experience working with clients recovering from injury or living with chronic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, hypermobility, pregnancy/postpartum concerns, neurological conditions, or other complex medical conditions.
- Background in rehabilitation, physical therapy, exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, dance, or a related field.
- Interest in pelvic health, women’s health, chronic pain, hypermobility, nervous system-informed care, or neurological rehabilitation.
- Experience creating educational content, workshops, or social media content is a plus.
