Position Summary
The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing new client relationships across multiple branch locations throughout Ohio. This leadership role combines business development, branch support, team development, and operational oversight to ensure consistent sales growth and service excellence across the region.
The Regional Business Development Manager will actively develop new business opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships, recruit and train Account Managers and Recruiters, and establish best practices that support sustainable branch growth and profitability.
Salary base $75,000-$85,000/year plus commission depend on experience
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase revenue across multiple Ohioo offices.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new client partnerships within industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, administrative, and professional staffing sectors.
- Conduct sales presentations, client meetings, facility tours, and contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, HR leaders, operations managers, and executives.
- Expand existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and additional service offerings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and local labor market conditions.
- Meet or exceed regional sales, gross profit, and client retention goals.
Regional Office Development
- Support the growth and development of branch operations across assigned Ohio offices.
- Assist with launching new branch locations and expanding market presence.
- Collaborate with local team to develop office-specific sales and recruiting strategies.
- Conduct regular office visits to ensure alignment with company goals and performance expectations.
- Identify operational improvements that increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Leadership, Training & Team Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, and Recruiters.
- Develop sales training programs, recruiting processes, and performance standards.
- Provide coaching on prospecting, cold calling, client development, account management, recruiting, and customer service.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and development meetings.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Account Management & Client Relations
- Serve as an escalation point for key client relationships and service concerns.
- Partner with Account Managers to maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with major accounts.
- Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations and client expectations.
- Support workforce planning, staffing forecasts, and customer expansion initiatives.
Recruiting Operations Support
- Work closely with recruiting teams to ensure adequate candidate pipelines for client needs.
- Assist in developing sourcing strategies for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.
- Support recruiting initiatives, job fairs, community outreach, and workforce development partnerships.
- Ensure recruiting teams follow company policies, onboarding procedures, and compliance requirements.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Track regional sales activity, revenue, gross profit, client retention, and recruiting metrics.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
- Develop action plans to address performance gaps and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Manage sales forecasts and pipeline reporting through CRM and company systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of in staffing industry with sales experience
- Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts.
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing sales and recruiting teams.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and recruiting platforms.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Ohio
