Travel Registered Nurse | Oncology RN | Night Shift | 16-Week Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 16 Weeks with possible extension
Pay: $65/hr

Are you an experienced Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Registered Nurse or Hematology Oncology RN looking for your next travel assignment? We are seeking compassionate and highly skilled Oncology RNs with recent inpatient hematology/oncology experience to join a nationally recognized Bone Marrow Transplant program caring for patients with complex hematologic malignancies and stem cell transplants.

This is an outstanding opportunity to expand your expertise in Bone Marrow Transplant, Hematology, Oncology, Cellular Therapy, and CAR-T Therapy while working alongside a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Position Summary

As a Travel BMT Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and advanced cellular therapies. You will care for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other complex hematologic disorders while managing central lines, blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, and infection prevention.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Travel BMT RN, you will:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Bone Marrow Transplant patients
Assess, monitor, and evaluate oncology patients throughout hospitalization
Develop individualized nursing care plans
Administer chemotherapy according to established protocols
Monitor patients receiving CAR-T therapy and cellular therapies
Administer blood and blood products safely
Manage central venous access devices
Perform sterile central line dressing changes
Access and maintain implanted ports
Perform central line blood draws
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
Identify and communicate abnormal laboratory values
Monitor for neutropenia, sepsis, infection, and transplant-related complications
Implement neutropenic and protective isolation precautions
Monitor for graft-versus-host disease (GVHD)
Educate patients and families regarding transplant care and recovery
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation teams
Document all patient care accurately in Epic EMR
Float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units when required
