Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Care / Outpatient Clinic

Job Description

Location: Columbus, OH
Work Setting: On-site
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45.94–$60.00 per hour
Schedule: Four 12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM–07:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, if applicable
Start Date : Sep and October

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ambulatory care and outpatient clinic team. The RN will provide safe, patient-centered care before, during, and after outpatient procedures and diagnostic services.

This position is ideal for nurses with experience in acute care, medical-surgical nursing, ambulatory care, outpatient clinics, procedural nursing, infusion, ambulatory surgery, or same-day surgery.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
Start and maintain IVs.
Assist with outpatient procedures and diagnostic testing.
Collect blood and other specimens.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
Provide patient and family education.
Manage pain and symptoms.
Coordinate follow-up appointments, referrals, and patient services.
Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team.
Follow patient safety, infection prevention, and quality-care standards.

Required Qualifications

Current Ohio RN license or eligible Multi-State Compact RN license.
Current BLS certification.
Two years of recent acute-care nursing experience.
Strong assessment, communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Ambulatory care or outpatient nursing experience.
Medical-surgical, procedural, infusion, ambulatory surgery, or same-day surgery experience.
ACLS certification, if required for the assignment.
