Full Job Description

A Survey Technician plays a critical role, bridging the gap between field crews and engineering designs. They conduct survey computations, process field data, and draft technical maps for utility construction and right-of-way projects.

Key Responsibilities

Data Processing & Computations: Process daily field data. Perform computations for boundary, topographic, easement, and construction stakeout work.
Drafting & Mapping: Utilize AutoCAD to draft maps (subdivision, parcel, etc.) and create detailed survey basemaps and easement exhibits.
Research: Interpret deeds, plats, and construction plans. Conduct thorough map and land records research.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with office staff, land surveyors, and field instrument operators.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of prior land survey drafting and/or CAD experience (preferred)
Software Skills: Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey specifications and directions.
Detail Oriented: High attention to detail with the ability to maintain QA/QC processes and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
