Job Summary

Radon Technician / Installer

Full-time position, Percentage pay, Paid Biweekly

Radon Systems is a locally, small-family owned company, located in Westerville, Ohio. Radon Systems has been in the business of protecting home-owners and businesses from the dangers of radon and indoor air pollution since 1977 throughout the Ohio Region. With over 40 years of experience, we are the oldest and largest radon contractors in Ohio.

We are in search of a technician who is skilled, reliable, with a positive attitude to join our established company. You will become part of the closely-knit team that is driven with good moral values and passionate about seeing our employees grow in success. We provide a positive work environment that trusts its employees to offer them to be one of the highest paid techs in the industry. You will have consistent year-round work and will be provided all the tools and training you need.

The basis of the job will be for you to install radon mitigation systems into people's homes. You will mainly be working alone, leaving to and from your home to your storage unit, then onto the jobsite. Sometimes you will be working closely with other technicians and will always have direct contact with the owner's daily.

The candidate that we are looking for must be self-reliant, a problem solver, one of who needs minimal oversight. You will be having direct contact with customers and working in private homes and places of businesses, which means you will be the face of our company.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Install Radon mitigation systems

· Repairs to mitigation systems

· Prepare and provide estimates for residential and commercial jobs

· You must be self-reliant, motivated and responsible to get the job done in a timely manner

· Must complete paperwork/job notes and communicate to office manager after job is completed

· Daily keep work truck and storage units stocked and organized. Must keep equipment and tools clean

· Must be willing to travel up to a two-hour radius surrounding the Columbus metro area

· Occasionally Must be willing to travel outside Columbus metro area. We will take on a larger project outside of Ohio. This happens maybe once or twice a year. You might be gone 1 to 4 nights. All expenses paid and higher wages

· Must be able to follow given instructions and must follow all health and safety regulations when on job site, working with tools and equipment

· Creative thinking and problem solving will be much needed attributes in your work environment

Qualifications and Skills

Customer service

· Must have at least 2 years of construction experience, with references

· Must have at least high school diploma

· Must be 18 years of age

· Must have driver’s license and clean driving record

· Must have basic understanding of math and have basic computer skills

· Must be able to work in tight places and lift at least 100 pounds

· Must be able to work at elevated levels

· Must be able to work in all types of weather and environments

· Must be able to work with other and independently

· Have the ability to work over time if needed

· Must be trustworthy, responsible, self-reliant and motivated, a good problem solver with a positive attitude

· Must pay attention to details and have consistently clean, proficient handiwork

· Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

· Must be presentable in their appearance and have self-pride in their work

· Must be able to responsibly manage inventory for each job assignment

Benefits

· You have an independent work environment and will not be micromanaged but expected to be responsible and mature enough to get the job done in an excellent and professional manner

· Payment is percentage-based. Once you are done with your assignment for the day, have your inventory managed and job notes completed you are free to go home. With our payment system you will be part of the highest paid technicians in the industry

· Company will provide and purchase all materials, tools and work vehicle

· You are able to work alone or with other technicians and travel around the Columbus area and surrounding cities sometimes

· Work site environment changes frequently

· No office environment, go straight home from jobsite

· If asked to work outside of metro area, overnight, all expenses will be paid and there usually will be higher wages

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
