Position: Automotive Body Work Technician
Salary: Minimum of $50,000 per year (5 Years Experience) with growth potential based on business growth and quality of work. Less than 5 years of experience negotiated minimum based on quality of work and/or references.
Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift available primarily Monday to Friday. Some weekends depending on volume of work.

1060 Fleet Services is a new body repair shop and delivery fleet service company that specializes in repair of Amazon Delivery vehicles – Ram ProMasters, Ford Transits, and Rivian fleet delivery vehicles. 1060 Fleet Services is also part of a vehicle rental company, 1060 Cargo Van rentals that provides van rental services for the Amazon Delivery Service Partners. Due to experience and relationships built within the Amazon Delivery Network, there is huge potential for growth within the company.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Body Work Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will repair, restore, and refinish damaged vehicle bodies to manufacturer and company quality standards. This position requires experience with paintless repair, body filler application, plastiforming, cosmetic repair, body panel replacement, structural repairs, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. Experience working on Rivian delivery vehicles, Ram Promasters, and Ford Transits is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the extent of body repairs required.
- Repair dents, scratches, and other body damage using appropriate repair techniques.
- Remove, replace, and align body panels, bumpers, fenders, doors, and other vehicle components.
- Weld, grind, and fabricate metal components as needed.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, masking, and priming.
- Install moldings, trim, glass, lights, and related components after repairs.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate body shop equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Document repairs, labor time, and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 5+ years of automotive collision repair or body technician experience preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle construction, repair procedures, and OEM standards.
- Experience with frame machines, welding equipment, and body repair tools.
- Ability to read repair estimates and technical repair manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and work in various positions throughout the day.
- Some tools available to use, but preferable to possess a comprehensive set of hand tools and a roll-cart/toolbox.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with aluminum and advanced material repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn.
- Certified Welder preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.
- Safely operate power tools, welding equipment, and heavy shop equipment.
- Work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
