Full Job Description

Lead Software Engineer – Front End / UI

Overview

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in front-end development and UI architecture to own and drive a critical user-facing platform used by millions of users. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who combines technical excellence, product thinking, and team leadership to deliver high-quality, scalable user experiences.

You will play a key role in shaping the frontend strategy, architecture, and performance of a core product, while mentoring engineers and partnering closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and scaling of high-performance, user-facing applications supporting millions of users
Own the front-end architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization
Drive UI/UX best practices, working closely with design teams to deliver intuitive, responsive interfaces
Write clean, production-quality code while remaining hands-on in development
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews
Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend) to deliver impactful features
Identify and drive technical initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience
Establish and enforce frontend standards, frameworks, and best practices
Manage priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on front-end development
Proven experience building and scaling applications used by millions of users
Deep expertise in modern front-end technologies such as:
React
HTML5, CSS3, responsive design

Strong understanding of:

Frontend architecture and design patterns
Performance optimization and scalability
API integration and full-stack collaboration
Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a technical leadership capacity
Ability to drive initiatives and influence technical direction across teams
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
