Full Job Description

We are currently seeking an Auto Tig Welder to join our facility in Lancaster.

The role of an Automatic TIG Welder involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of high-volume automated TIG systems used to create custom tubular products and hydraulic lines. Our facility operates 10 automated TIG stations, supported by robotic cells and manual lines, to provide solutions for various equipment types.

Core Responsibilities

Prepare machinery by cleaning and calibrating components to initiate production cycles.
Regulate and modify machine parameters such as speed to optimize performance.
Verify that all components have undergone proper preparation before processing.
Utilize precision measurement instruments to evaluate parts for quality assurance.
Perform routine operational testing on equipment to ensure consistent functionality.
Resolve technical complications that arise during the course of your shift.
Monitor production output to identify and correct any machine-related defects.
Document the count of approved versus defective units to maintain accurate production records.
Update activity logs to track daily progress.
Input necessary information into computer systems to confirm that setup requirements are met.
Maintain adaptability to support various departments as operational needs dictate.

Qualifications

Demonstrated background working as a machine operator.
Proficiency in operating high-speed equipment and utilizing measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
Solid grasp of standard manufacturing workflows.
Help maintain a safe working environment by strictly following all health and safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong analytical capabilities to solve operational problems.
Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to foster a collaborative environment.
Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the production floor.
Flexibility to work mandatory overtime hours when required.
High school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree considered an advantage.

Qualified associates will receive comprehensive training on our specific standards and processes.

Schedule and Compensation

Hours: 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm, with potential for mandatory Friday overtime.

Pay rate: $18.00 per hour.

Physical Requirements

This role is highly active and requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, carrying, speaking, repetitive motions, balancing, reaching, pushing, finger dexterity, hearing, reading, lifting, grasping, seeing, calculating, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. You must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
