Shop Welder/ Fabricator

Job Summary:

Parks Drilling Company is seeking an experienced Shop Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Marysville, Ohio. This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining the specialized equipment, tooling, and support systems that keep our crews working safely and efficiently.

For more than 50 years, Parks Drilling has supported drilled shaft foundation construction for the electric utility and commercial construction industries. We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, values teamwork, and is committed to safety and quality in everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and repair structural steel components, drilling tools, equipment attachments, trailers, racks, and custom assemblies.
Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding.
Assist with equipment modifications and repairs.
Read and work from drawings, sketches, measurements, and verbal instructions.
Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Support field operations through timely repairs and fabrication projects.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Work closely with mechanics, yard personnel, superintendents, and operations teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

3+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment, or industrial fabrication is a plus.
Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
AWS Welding Certification.
Experience repairing heavy equipment and attachments.
Forklift operation experience.
OSHA safety training.
