Bridgeway Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator (RN) to join our skilled nursing leadership team in Phenix City, Alabama.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience in MDS, Medicare, PDPM, Case Mix, Clinical Reimbursement, Care Plans, Skilled Nursing, Long Term Care, and Post-Acute Care to play a critical role in ensuring clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement optimization.

- Complete and coordinate all MDS assessments in accordance with CMS, state, and federal regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of MDS schedules and submissions
- Coordinate and participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
- Manage PDPM processes and reimbursement optimization
- Review clinical documentation to support accurate coding and reimbursement
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and physician teams
- Monitor Medicare, Managed Care, and insurance requirements related to skilled nursing services
- Analyze Case Mix and reimbursement opportunities while maintaining compliance
- Educate and support clinical staff regarding documentation requirements
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with all long term care and skilled nursing regulations
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator, MDS Nurse, Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator, RAI Coordinator, or Medicare Nurse
- Strong working knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, Medicare, Medicaid, Care Planning, and Clinical Reimbursement
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long Term Care experience preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
