Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential.
Job Responsibilites
Safely operate a CDL-A dump truck to transport dirt, sand, gravel, stone, and other construction materials.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery tickets as required.
Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Operate safely on construction sites, quarries, borrow pits, and public roadways.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, foremen, equipment operators, and project managers.
Assist with loading operations when needed.
Ensure proper weight distribution and comply with legal weight limits.
Keep the truck clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
Report accidents, unsafe conditions, equipment damage, or maintenance concerns promptly.
Maintain awareness of changing weather and jobsite conditions to ensure safe operation.
Demonstrate professionalism and provide courteous interaction with customers, inspectors, and the public.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and jobsite safety requirements.
Support other construction operations as assigned when not actively hauling materials.
Maintain a valid CDL-A license, current medical certificate, and an acceptable driving record.
Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance.
Required Qualifications
Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Valid CDL-A license
Clean driving record and insurable by the company's insurance carrier.
Ability to safely operate manual and/or automatic transmission dump trucks.
Experience hauling construction aggregates, dirt, sand, gravel, or similar materials.
Ability to safely back into tight jobsite locations using mirrors and spotters.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Pay: $1,000.00 per week

Experience:

CDL-A Driving: 5 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
