Mon-Fri - Hours ranging from 7:30am - 5:00pm
Works under the direction of the Non-Invasive Diagnostics Supervisor and the Service Line Administrator for The Heart Center. Performs diagnostic testing procedures provided by the Non-Invasive Diagnostics Department; these testing procedures include (but are not limited to) EKG and Rhythm Strip, Holter and Zio Monitoring, and 30 Day Event Monitoring. Directly supports the daily functions of clinic with patient testing needs, as well as additional responsibilities within the outpatient and inpatient modalities.
Essential Functions:
- Assists providers in conducting diagnostic tests within clinic, inpatient, and outpatient areas.
- Prepares effectively for the testing and explains testing procedure at different levels based on patient age.
- Records information obtained from diagnostic tests accurately and provides quality reports to ordering providers
- Communicates compassionately and effectively with patients and caregivers.
- Collaborates across boundaries with teamwork related behaviors.
- Assists with other clerical responsibilities such as billing and auditing, cleaning and disinfection of equipment, and answering the telephone.
Education Requirement:
- High school graduate or equivalent, required.
- Post-Secondary school within a healthcare related field, preferred.
Certifications:
BLS, required.
Skills:
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult). Ability to function with flexibility and adaptability to an ever changing and fast paced environment.
Experience:
1 year of healthcare related experience, preferred.
