We are actively seeking a MRO Management Support to join our Purchasing Department on 1st shift (core schedule, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm).

Coordinate MRO operation

Verify that Daily MRO issues have been recorded and Entered into PLEX
-
Verify that daily MRO article cycle counts have been completed and recorded

Verify that ROP has been appropriately processed

Enter PO information into PLEX

Assist other Purchasing associates in entering and maintaining of purchase orders process
-
Manage MRO supplier quotation process and negotiate cost and contracts
-
Support MRO Technician to ensure all articles are purchased at most economical cost
-
Assist MRO Technician to ensure competitive resources are available for all articles
-
Monitor and report monthly appropriate supplier performance
-
Assist in the procurement of economical and quality articles for the daily operation at the best value and on-time delivery
-
MRO Supplier Management – The management of MRO suppliers to assure their compliance with JIC needs and wants
-
Build and maintain strong relationship with suppliers
-
Work with Suppliers to maintain or exceed QCDM requirements
-
Work with Suppliers to implement Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction
-
Assist in the management and monitoring of MRO inventory levels
-
Support and assist production departments – Support and assist production departments to improve and reduce cost associated with items issued from MRO
-
Manage and report monthly on repair items and equipment sourced by MRO
-
Support and assist other department when appropriate
-
Assist in the development and improvement of department and company operation and processes.

Assist and Support the training of MRO associates
-

Required Skills

- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/inventory management systems

Preferred Technical Skills

- Familiarity with maintenance parts, industrial supplies, and repair item tracking
- Experience monitoring supplier performance and on-time delivery metrics
- Knowledge of FIFO inventory practices and inventory control procedures
- Experience supporting manufacturing and production departments with MRO needs
- Forklift or powered industrial truck experience/certification preferred
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred
Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in MRO operations, purchasing, inventory control, stockroom operations, or manufacturing support preferred
- Experience in automotive, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Working knowledge of procurement, supplier management, and inventory control practices
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Basic math skills for inventory verification, cycle counts, and order reconciliation
