Position Summary: The Case Manager plays a key role in supporting LaunchNW YouthBuild participants in Colville, WA, as they complete construction pre-apprenticeship program requirements and transition to postsecondary education, apprenticeships, and employment. This role provides comprehensive, individualized case management, addressing barriers to participation while coordinating supportive services to promote retention and success. The Case Manager collaborates closely with community partners, program staff, and training providers to deliver holistic, trauma-informed support to opportunity youth.
Responsibilities:
Participant Intake & Case Management:
- Conduct participant intake, eligibility verification, and completion of required documentation
- Assess participant needs, strengths, and barriers to success
- Develop and maintain Individual Development Plans (IDPs) or service plans
- Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate, timely case notes, document management, and data tracking.
Program Delivery & Engagement:
- Facilitate Mental Toughness orientations and onboarding to ensure successful program entry
- Support participants in attaining GED or high school diploma completion
- Deliver individualized coaching, goal-setting, and progress monitoring to drive participant success
- Implement retention strategies through targeted outreach and re-engagement efforts
- Track and analyze attendance and participation across education, training, and leadership components
Supportive Services Coordination:
- Identify and address barriers including housing, transportation, childcare, mental health, and financial needs
- Coordinate referrals and connect participants to community-based services
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local service providers and agencies
- Advocate for participants to ensure access to essential resources
Postsecondary & Apprenticeship Transition Support:
- Provide guidance and support for postsecondary planning and career pathway development
- Assist participants with FAFSA/WASFA completion and financial aid navigation
- Coordinate placement testing, transcript requests, and enrollment processes
- Support apprenticeship readiness, including documentation and entry requirements
- Verify enrollment, placement, and credential attainment
Follow-Up & Outcomes Tracking:
- Conduct 12-month follow-up with program graduates to track education, employment, and retention outcomes
- Maintain accurate outcome data in Salesforce to support grant reporting and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with program standards and funding requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience engaging and supporting opportunity youth
- Strong knowledge of case management practices, goal-setting and coordinated service delivery
- Experience with FAFSA/WASFA, postsecondary systems, or workforce pathways preferred
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar data tracking systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Skills/Abilities:
- Experience applying trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches
- Ability to engage, motivate, and build trust with opportunity youth
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with schools, community partners, and employers

- Experience managing and tracking data in Salesforce

- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to streamline, perform and prioritize multiple tasks, with a critical eye for detail

Physical Abilities:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to:
- Ability to move throughout office, classroom, community, and occasional construction worksite environments to engage with participants, partners, and staff.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and navigate uneven terrain as needed while supporting participant activities and work-based learning experiences; ability to lift and carry items weighting up to 20 points.
- Ability to safely access and participate in activities at construction sites while following all required safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
- Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and find coordination, including use of a computer keyboard and other technology systems.
- Ability to utilize verbal and written communication to exchange information effectively with participants, families, staff, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses, and differentiate between colors.
- Ability to travel throughout the Stevens County service area as needed to support program needs.

Work Environment:
The employee is exposed to typical office, classroom, and construction worksite environments, including varying weather conditions, construction-related noise, dust, and uneven terrain. The employee is expected to follow all safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while participating in construction and work-based learning activities.
