Role Description
NEW Alliance Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk for a full-time position to support our Finance department. The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible primarily for completing monthly billings for services through Managed Care Organizations and other payers. You will run and review reports out of our electronic medical record software to generate services for which billing is necessary and identify and correct billing errors. If required, you may need to correct, resubmit, and resolve any claim denials from payers. In addition, you will communicate with clients about billing, accept payments from clients, and post payments to client accounts within our electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records experience a plus
- Strong organizational, customer service and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Valid driver’s license and successful background check required
