Rye Beach Pharmacy is a leading independent pharmacy in Westchester County. (located in Rye, NY) We have been owned by the same family since 1946 and try to offer our customers a unique health experience. We strive to make customer service and access to knowledgeable staff a top priority.

This position is focused in the Community Retail department of the store.

Our Pharmacists are frequently called upon for medication counseling and OTC recommendations. Strong communication skills and confidence to start discussions with our patients about their health are required. Besides the daily duties of a community pharmacist, you must be a Certified Immunizer and take an active role in our Med Sync program.

All Pharmacists must be able to participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Rye Beach Pharmacy has top-level technicians to assist you. They are well-versed in insurance and billing questions, so this gives you more time to focus on your patients. Though, you will be required to verify that the techs' claims were billed correctly, and the pricing of prescriptions was done accurately.

Our store is equipped with the latest pharmacy technology, providing you with the tools to perform your duties with precision and efficiency. The management tries to have the tools and resources readily available, so you can strive to be your best.

We have at least 6 pharmacists in the building during any weekday to cover all aspects of our community pharmacy (retail, compounding, vitamins & consultations).

This opening is part-time, 10 -25 hours a week, open to working with you. Plus, if you are able, cover more hours during a week of vacation time for other pharmacists. Down the line would be looking for one out of six Saturdays for coverage (or one of 8).

We are easily accessible off Interstate 95 or the Hutch or the Cross Westchester Expressway – 287

Requirements:

At least one year of experience in a Retail environment.
Excellent communication skills required; fluent English (oral & written)
Strong leadership skills.
NYS Pharmacist License and Certified Immunizer
Caring and unique customer service
Team Player who can work in a busy store with close-knit team
Pioneer software experience is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $62.00 - $65.00 per hour
