Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Purchase Specialist will complete Initial Disclosures, Rate Lock Disclosures, Closing Disclosures and Closing Packages primarily for purchase transactions. Additional responsibilities include CD Balancing with settlement agents and refinance transactions as needed.

This position may be performed on-site at our Melville NY location or remotely.

Candidates must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines in either work environment.

Essential Job Functions

· Prepare and send initial disclosures, re-disclosures and rate lock disclosures

· Review files for completion and accuracy

· Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely and accurate disclosures are provided

· Identify and resolve issues within loan files

· Monitor daily deadlines for disclosures and ensure compliance

· Prepare and send Closing Disclosures

· Prepare and validate closing documents ensuring compliance with applicable state, federal and investor regulations/guidelines

· Balance CD with settlement agents

Requirements

· High School diploma or equivalent education and experience

Minimum of three (3) years of recent mortgage closing experience with purchase transactions to include review of Contracts, preparation of LE’s and CD’s, balancing of Final CD and Closing Doc preparation

· Working Knowledge of TRID, RESPA and standard Conventional / FHA / VA closing procedures.

· Strong understanding of Prorations Calculation, Initial Escrow setup, Seller Credits, EMD, Buydowns and final balancing of CD

· Strong organization skills

· Ability to prioritize and manage work queue while meeting deadlines

· Detail oriented

· Analytical skills

· Ability to solve complex problems

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Basic computer knowledge including Word, Excel and Outlook

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
