Beaver Dam Farms is looking for an experienced Carpenter / Skilled Tradesman to help maintain, improve, and build one of Georgia's most unique private estates.
Once owned by the famous Kenny Rogers, situated on nearly 1,000 acres, Beaver Dam Farms is home to a working cattle farm, private 18-hole golf course, lodging, barns, homes, event spaces, and numerous specialty projects. Every day brings something different, and we're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and taking pride in quality craftsmanship.
This is not a production construction job. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that is constantly improving an exceptional property through thoughtful craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Position Summary
The Carpenter / Skilled Tradesman will perform a wide variety of construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair projects throughout the property. The ideal candidate is experienced in framing, roofing, painting, finish carpentry, and general construction and enjoys taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities
Carpentry & Construction
- Frame walls, buildings, additions, and structural projects
- Install doors, windows, trim, molding, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
- Build decks, fences, pergolas, and custom structures
- Perform interior and exterior renovations
- Read blueprints, sketches, and construction plans
- Measure, cut, and install materials accurately
Roofing
- Repair and replace roofing systems
- Diagnose leaks and perform preventative maintenance
- Install flashing, underlayment, and roofing materials
- Maintain gutters, soffits, and fascia
Painting & Finishes
- Prepare surfaces for painting and staining
- Interior and exterior painting
- Drywall repair, patching, sanding, and finishing
- Pressure washing and surface preparation
- Apply stains, sealers, and protective finishes
Property Maintenance
- Perform general building repairs across the estate
- Assist with remodeling projects
- Repair barns, fences, gates, and agricultural structures
- Operate power tools and construction equipment safely
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Ensure projects meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship
Qualifications
- 5+ years of carpentry or construction experience preferred
- Strong framing experience required
- Roofing and painting experience highly preferred
- Experience with finish carpentry is a plus
- Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
