Full Job Description

Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc., is an international leader in design, manufacturing, and distribution of equipment used for sampling, monitoring, and remediating, groundwater, soil, and air pollution. State-of-the-art manufacturing, machining, and extrusion capabilities allow Geotech to innovate cost-effective solutions to tough environmental problems. We strive to provide performance driven technology, expert service, and total solution to projects through our "first time right" methodology.

Geotech is seeking a dedicated Buyer to join our team in Denver, Colorado. As a Buyer at Geotech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our operations while upholding our commitment to environmental sustainability. We offer long-term and stable employment in addition to competitive pay and excellent benefits. Hours are 9am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with internal teams to determine procurement needs and specifications.
- Negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies from approved suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to support customer/rental orders.

-Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
- Utilize E-commerce platforms for efficient purchasing processes.
- Contribute to supply chain management strategies for optimized operations.
- Support materials management by overseeing stock levels and reorder points.

Requirements:

- Proven 3 years experience as a buyer in the manufacturing / private industries.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with E-commerce platforms for procurement purposes.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze market trends and pricing data effectively.
- Experience in logistics coordination for timely deliveries.

- Experience with Excel, VLOOKUP and Macros a plus.

- Experience with Lean, ISO 9001. 14001, Kanban, 5S a plus.
- Understanding of materials management processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor relations.

-Infor SyteLine ERP a plus.
