Full Job Description

Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $24.00

Monday-Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm

An ice cream distributor is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk in the city of Santa Ana. This dual-role position is responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable processes and executing accurate, timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

Generate and send out customer invoices accurately and on time

Post customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger

Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables through collections calls and emails

Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies

Maintain accurate customer records and credit information

Assist with the month-end closing related to AR

Payroll Duties:

Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using payroll software

Verify timekeeping records, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions

Calculate and process employee garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

Prepare and file payroll tax reports and deposits

Generate payroll reports and respond to employee payroll inquiries

Maintain confidential employee payroll and HR records

Qualifications & Requirements

2+ years of combined experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Payroll

Experience with accounting/payroll software (QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, or similar software)

Soft Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
