Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead our electrical contracting operations with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all facets of business management, project execution, and team leadership to ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive growth, streamline processes, and foster a high-performance culture that aligns with our company’s vision for innovation and quality. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to make a significant impact within a thriving electrical contracting environment.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all electrical contracting projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
Lead, develop, and motivate multidisciplinary teams including project managers, technicians, and administrative staff to achieve business objectives.
Manage profit & loss statements by analyzing financial data in Excel and other tools to optimize profitability and control costs.
Oversee project management activities from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, budgets, and schedules.
Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service delivery.
Develop strategic business plans that align with market trends and organizational goals while identifying new growth opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders through effective managerial communication and customer service excellence.
Monitor operational performance metrics regularly to support data-driven decision making that enhances overall business health.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements across all projects and operations.
Lead executive-level team meetings to review progress, set priorities, and communicate strategic initiatives effectively.

Experience

Proven management experience within the electrical contracting or related construction industry at an executive level.
Extensive background in profit & loss management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
Demonstrated success in project management with a focus on operational efficiency and process improvement.
Strong team management skills with experience in developing high-performing teams through coaching and mentorship.
Familiarity with Excel data analysis tools for financial reporting and decision support.
Excellent managerial communication skills capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Experience supervising large teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
Knowledge of lean management practices and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
