About Liberty Health Services

Liberty Health Services is a 24-bed medical detox and residential treatment program dedicated to serving individuals with substance use disorders. Our mission is to provide the highest quality care as a critical first step toward long-term recovery and healing. We deliver evidence-based substance use treatment with a strong emphasis on holistic, patient-centered care that supports physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. The BHT plays a vital role in supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey while collaborating closely with clinical, nursing, and administrative staff. This position requires strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations.

The BHT is responsible for helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for clients in both the medically monitored detox and residential treatment settings. This role serves as a key liaison between clients and the treatment team, ensuring timely communication regarding changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or behavioral status.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with client admissions, including documentation, searches of belongings, and orientation to the program and facility.
Accurately document client information using the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including belongings, urine drug screen results, and other required documentation from admission through discharge.
Conduct routine safety rounds to monitor client location, behavior, and overall well-being.
Assist with crisis intervention and utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors safely and professionally.
Obtain vital signs and work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure client safety throughout their treatment experience.
Communicate effectively with nursing, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Maintain strict adherence to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements.
Promote a respectful, therapeutic environment that upholds client dignity, safety, and recovery goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience or working knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and behavioral health settings.
Training or demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Strong understanding of confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document clearly and professionally.
Ability to remain calm, supportive, and professional in high-stress situations.
Commitment to providing compassionate, recovery-oriented care.
