Mechanical Engineer - PE - Engineering license required.

Oak Point Associates is seeking an energetic and motivated Licensed Mechanical Engineer with a passion for the design and detailing of buildings, sustainability, and the overall construction process to join our award-winning team. This hybrid position (3 days in office, up to 2 days remote) is available in our Glastonbury, CT office.

Oak Point Associates is a dynamic, full-service architecture and engineering firm with offices in Biddeford, ME, Portsmouth, NH and Glastonbury, CT. Our work focuses on projects of all sizes, with our largest market sectors being in K-12 Education, Higher Education and Federal Government contracts.

Responsibilities Include:

Design of HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler systems
Heating load, cooling load, and energy calculations
Collaboration with other engineers, architects, interior designers and landscape architects to develop creative design solutions
Evaluation and development of highly efficient HVAC systems including Geothermal, VRF, and energy recovery systems
Plumbing calculations and design
Sprinkler calculations and design
Preparation of specifications and cost estimates

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET) degree from an accredited university
10+ years of experience.
HVAC and Plumbing Design experience
Engineering License in Maine or New Hampshire or the ability to obtain through reciprocity
Strong written and oral communications
U.S Citizenship
