Job Summary:
NutriScience Innovations (NSI) is looking for a high-energy and dedicated individual to join our logistics team! In this role the Logistics Coordinator will work with our Logistics Operations Manager and team to: (a) assist in coordinating inbound/outbound transportation of our dietary supplement and nutraceutical products, (b) process customer purchase orders, (c) provide excellent customer service to our customers (d) oversee and coordinate your designated logistics tasks for the day.
Job Responsibilities:
- Input sales orders using our ERP system
- Prepare necessary and accurate documentation for inbound/outbound shipments to and from our on-site warehouse as well as our 3rd party warehouses
- Coordinate with transportation carriers and freight brokers to ensure appropriate and timely deliveries of customers’ orders
- Assist the Logistics Operations Manager with filing claims with carriers for damage occurring during transit
- Coordinate imports and exports, observing international rules, regulations, and documentation requirements that govern shipments of dietary products
- Communicate promptly and effectively with vendors and customers to mitigate potential logistical and supply issues
- The Logistics Coordinator is expected to exemplify the high level of customer service NutriScience is recognized for when communicating with our customers; the willingness to go the extra step is an attribute that NSI takes great pride in. This may include order confirmations, order status updates, communicating lead time issues, providing tracking information, etc.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by other departments or upper management as needed
Job Requirements:
Required
- Associates/bachelor’s degree, military service, or prior experience in a similar role
- 2+ years’ experience in a logistics or a supply chain role
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to articulate in a professional manner
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must be able to manage several projects/tasks concurrently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Positive attitude and proactive approach are a must
Preferred
- 1-2+ years’ experience in a team/project type role
- Supply Chain degree, certificate program or coursework
- International business or customer service experience is a plus
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and processes is a plus
