Empower customers and colleagues to master TRUMPF technology. As a Technical Instructor, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on training in operation, programming, and maintenance for TRUMPF machines—through standardized courses at our training centers and customized on‑site sessions.

Locations: Farmington, CT (primary), Chicago, IL, Costa Mesa, CA, plus customer sites.

What you’ll do

Deliver high‑impact training across assigned product lines for customers and TRUMPF employees.
Tailor and improve curricula with the Head of Punch/Press Brake Training to meet customer needs.
Collaborate with HQ trainers and curriculum developers to keep content accurate and up to date.
Lead on‑site trainings and conduct field research at customer and TRUMPF facilities (up to 33% travel, domestic and international).
Manage schedules, attendance, and training records; evaluate Service Engineer performance during training.
Gather and analyze learner feedback to continuously enhance course quality.
Support Continuous Improvement, SYNCHRO initiatives, and special projects.

What you bring

Strong technical foundation in CNC sheet metal machine tools (TRUMPF experience preferred).
Training and/or field service experience strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication; confident classroom and shop‑floor presence.
Solid PC skills: operating systems, networking, Microsoft Office.
Education: 2‑year technical degree in Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
