Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Psychologist Supervisor to join our team on a contract basis, for a 2-year term. This position seeks to bring on a clinical supervisor to offer ongoing training, guidance, and traditional supervision to our psychologists in training. In this pivotal role, you will support the growth of our team, providing your unique clinical experience and expertise to our junior team members. Your leadership will contribute to an established collaborative environment that promotes innovative treatment approaches, cultural competence, and comprehensive patient-centered services. This position provides the right individual with an exciting opportunity to bestow your unique clinical skill set, experience, and training onto a small team of eager junior psychologists.

This position requires a 2 hour per week commitment, however, these hours can be flexible as needed. Occasional in-person supervision may also be required.

Duties

Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to psychologists in training, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards
Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring for clients with various mental health conditions
Lead the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, humanistic and integrated services.
Manage crisis intervention efforts, including crisis management protocols and emergency response coordination for clients experiencing acute episodes as the need may arise.
Ensure accurate documentation of medical records, clinical notes, treatment outcomes, and compliance with HIPAA regulations using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical providers, educators, and families as needed—to coordinate case management and optimize patient care outcomes
Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for diagnoses and CPT coding for billing purposes while ensuring proper documentation for reimbursement

Requirements

Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution
Valid state licensure as a Licensed Psychologist or equivalent credential with supervision privileges in the States of Connecticut and New York
Demonstrated experience working with adults with mental health conditions
Proven supervisory experience in clinical settings with a focus on behavioral health or mental health counseling
Strong expertise in evidence-based therapies
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and records management in compliance with HIPAA standards
Excellent patient assessment skills along with experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9)
Ability to manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols
Exceptional communication skills for working with clients’ families and multidisciplinary teams from diverse cultural backgrounds
