Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment, where your mechanical knowledge and machining skills will be valued and developed. If you have experience being an CNC Operator, you are able to do this job.

Duties

Set up and operate press brake machinery, ensuring accurate bending according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to produce precise parts
Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brake machines for complex bending operations, optimizing efficiency and accuracy
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime
Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts
Fabricate sheet metal components using hand tools, tooling, plasma cutting, CNC laser cutting, and other fabrication techniques
Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet specifications; adjust machine settings as needed
Operate forklifts and cranes safely for material handling and movement of heavy sheet metal or fabricated parts
Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, inspection results, and safety checks

Qualifications

Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), CNC milling machines, and CNC lathes
Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications for precise fabrication
Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other quality inspection instruments
Knowledge of welding techniques and assembly processes is a plus
Experience with tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication, stamping presses, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and safety protocols
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during setup and inspection processes
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance in manufacturing outputs
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
